What Is a Non-Ablative Laser Skin Resurfacing?

Our aim is to help patients get the most out of their treatment. Leading up to your appointment, we suggest taking a few steps to prepare your skin:
- Take a break from tanning and avoid prolonged sun exposure.
- Keep away from perfumes, deodorants, and potential skin irritants on or around the treatment area.
- Avoid taking aspirin and other blood thinners before your session.
Following these tips can help you protect your skin and enhance the effectiveness of your upcoming treatment.
Our first step is thoroughly cleansing your skin. Then, we’ll apply a numbing cream to the treatment area.
As the ResurFX device glides over the treatment area, you may feel a warm, prickling sensation—however, it only takes one pass to achieve effective results.
Depending on the size of the treatment area, treatment typically takes about 15–20 minutes.
Following the treatment, you can immediately return to your normal routine and even apply makeup straight away. You may experience minor swelling or a rosy glow, which usually subsides within a few days, revealing a smooth, radiant complexion.
We’ll provide you with personalized care instructions to support your treated skin. Regularly moisturize and protect your skin from direct sun exposure by applying sunscreen to help maintain your results.
If you experience lingering redness or swelling, use a cold compress for relief.
ResurFX stimulates natural collagen production, leading to gradual improvements over time. Each treatment session can increase effectiveness, and we typically recommend 3–5 sessions spaced between 4–5 weeks.
